• Sizes stated are for a wet sponge – your sponge may not be the full inches in length as it may be round and high so makes up for size that way – it is hard to be precise.

  Every Sea Sponge is Unique, some are round, some oval, the shapes are endless, and no two are the same this makes them perfect for the whole family as everyone will know their sponge by its own unique characteristics.

  It is important you know that sizes given are for a wet sponge and are not exact due to the nature and unique shape of each sponge.

  Your sponge will come packaged …..as it has been dry for some time it may appear smaller than expected, so please don’t gasp when you open your package. Just add water and your Sea Sponge will take its true shape and form.

Sea sponges hold much more water than artificial ones. Save time and your back by not having to dip your sponge in the water bucket over and over again. A natural sponge will hold two to three times as much water as an artificial one.

HARVESTING

Our sea sponges are harvested carefully to protect the natural habitat environment, our planet. You can have peace of mind your Sea sponge is sustainably harvested. Harvesting is monitored and controlled.

When sponges are collected, part of the sponge is left on the ocean floor to grow back. Through crop rotation, sponges are harvested over and over again as they regrow to their original size within a few years. This ensures that the ocean floor replenishes itself and the sponges increase in health and abundance.

Recommended Types of Sponges

FINE SILK SEA SPONGES

Great for the bath, shower, applying and removing makeup and bathing baby. They are super soft but somewhat firm so hold their shape better when wet. These are also great for dusting.

HONEYCOMB SEA SPONGES

Again great for the bath, shower, removing makeup and washing baby, they are also super soft and luxurious, when wet these type of sponge will compress easily making them gentle and kind to your skin.

WOOL SEA SPONGES

Also great for the bath, shower, removing makeup and washing baby, they are still super soft and luxurious, but not quite as soft as the honeycomb sponges.

When wet they compress easy, but are a little more firm in the centre making them gentle and kind to your skin, but having a little more added control.

They are great for the shower, fantastic for the bath, household cleaning, washing dishes, cars, pets etc.

Best recommended sizes in our opinion?

• For children 7 years and under to use in the bath or shower the 4 – 4 ½, this is a nice size for little hands.
• For children over 7 you could go to the 5 – 5 ½ or the 5 ½ – 6
• For Ladies and Gentlemen the 5 – 51/2 or 51/2 – 6 is great for the shower or the bath, although if you are wanting an extra luxurious bath the large 6 – 7  or  7 1/2 – 8 inch wool Sponges are just exquisite.
• Washing dishes, I recommend around 5- 51/2 more long than round shape….…please specify if you are purchasing a sponge for washing the dishes so I can personally select the best one for you as a more oval shape is best for inside glasses.
• Washing the car  or windows 7 ½ – 8 inch wool
• For bathing pets, we recommend 5 – 5 ½ or 51/2 – 6  unless your pet is very small
• Dusting: 5 – 5 ½ wool
